Radiation Oncology department:
Department
is equipped with both teletherapy and brachytherapy
treatment facilities. later on Triple emergency IGRI / IMRI
Synergy machine to treat cancer patients with almost no side
effects. Theratron-780 telecobalt unit and
Linear Accelerator Mevatron-74 are being used for external
beam radiotherapy. Remote after loading unit Selectron LDR/MDR
and manual after loading Ir-192 wires are used for
intracavitary, intraluminal, interstitial and surface mould
brachytherapy. Simulix-Y (Oldelft) simulator provides
accurate localization of tumour. Mould room is having the
facilities for the fabrication of immobilization devices
(thermoplastic casts), bolus, surface moulds and styrofoam
cutter for the individual shielding blocks.
Recently HDR (High Dose Selectron) & New Three Dimension
treatment planning has been installed for fast brachytherapy
treatment and for precision planning of Teletherapy and
brachytherapy etc.

Nuclear Medicine
The Department provides
most of the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of
unsealed radioisotopes under a single roof. Facilities
for in-vitro and in-vivo procedures and high dose
therapy are available. SPECT gamma camera is routinely
used for scintigraphy. Thyroid uptake probe is used
for non-imaging in-vivo procedures. Department is
having an isolation ward for the high dose therapy.
I-131, Sr-89, P-32 therapies are available in the
department. The department provides facilities for
scan of all organs which beneficial for detection of
occult metastasis in bone and other organs at initial
presentation and follow up of the cancer patients.

Laboratory
Well equipped
laborateries with fully automated equipment for
Biochemistry, Heamatology, Cytology, Histo-pathology,
Immunocytochemistry and tumor markers, Pap Smear test
for women are available in the hospital.Histo-pathology
department is equipped with facilities like automated
tissue YORCO processor. Imprint & touch smears apart
from routine investigation are done on a regular
basis.Latest Equipment like blood gas analyser,
electrolyte analyser & cell counter for hematology are
available along with Cell Separator for platelets and
plasma transfusion being the recent addition. |

Recent Additions
Chemilumiscent techniques for tumor markers, hormone
and drug assay, Immunohistology chemistry like
receptor study, frozen section and imprint cytology
for intra operative diagnosis are also available.

Radiodiagnosis
Department is equipped with CT
Scanner with 3D software (Somatom,Simens), Ultrasound
unit (Logic 200, GE) with endocavitory probe and
having two mobile X-ray unit (100 mA & 60 mA) and two
fixed X-ray unit (500 mA & 300 mA)one of which having
fluroscopy facility. Beside routine conventional
radiology and modern cross-sectional imaging, special
procedures like USG and CT guided FNAC, drainage
procedures, PCN & PTBD are available.
Recently the
department has acquired color Doppler,
echocardiography, endo cavitary ultrasonography,
Mammography unit with image guided biopsy facilities,
new 500 ma X-ray machine with IITV for specialized
investigation like ERCP, Barrium study and renal study
etc. .

Medicine & Medical Oncology
Hospital has all types
of routine services available for chest diseases, GIT
problems, General medical ailments and specialized
medical treatment facilities for cancer. Facilities
for Chemotherapy are available on OPD basis as well as
it is provided in wards. It is given by trained
Nursing staff under the guidance of highly competent
team of Medical Oncologists. A well-equipped Protected
environment ward exists for Neutropenic patients and
for blood cancer patients. |

Epidemics and Mass Causality
Hospital is competent enough to
handle any mass causality and epidemics of any type.
There is provision of isolation wards and extra beds
to meet. These calamities Doctors & paramedical staff
are available round the clock to look after these
problems at the beck of the call. |

Endoscopy
The hospital has got upper GI
endoscope, fibro optic bronchoscopy, Fibro optic
laparoscope, Uro-Endoscope and Laparoscope to aid to
the diagnosis & treatment.
Recent vide colonscopy
and ERCP diagnosis facilities has been added to
complete the endoscopic diagnostic facilities.

Obst. & Gynae and Gynaecology Oncology Department
It is the only
specialized unit in the region for the comprehensive treatment of all Gynaecological cancers. Recently Hystoscopy facilities
for early diagnosis and treatment of uterine cavity
problem has been added. Also balloon therapy for
uterine bleeding has been started, which is
non-operative, cheap OPD treatment only.

Operation Theater Block and
Intensive Care Unit
There are well equipped four
major operation theaters with ultra modern facilities
backed up surgical and medical IC, computerized
ventilators, Multi-channel monitors, pulse oximeters,
cardiac monitors backed up by trained and experienced
staff.

Surgery & Surgical Oncology
Surgical Oncology department has a large number of
trained and experienced consultants. It has well
developed unit of surgical oncology, Ortho Oncology,
Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Reconstruction unit.
Besides al types of major routine surgical procedures
of all types and laparoscopic surgeries are being
conducted on regular basis which include gall bladder,
hernia appendix, piles, kidney stone and advanced
cancer surgeries.

Laparoscopic Surgery facilities
Hospital is not for
behind in providing laparoscopic surgery facilities in
different specilities areas like GI surgery, Gynae
Surgery, ENT Surgery, Thoracoscopic procedures, Cancer
diagnosis, staging and minimum access operative
surgery.

Routine Medical Facilities
Hospital has 300 beds in
a multistoried building spread over four floors.
Services in the hospitals include all types of
diseases.
Apart from providing comprehensive
treatment for cancer, the hospital has fully developed
departments of General surgery, Neurosurgery,
Orthopaedics & Trauma Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and
Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology & Dental
surgery. Medicine & allied specialities
(Paediatrics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology,
Gasteroenterology, and Psychiatry) are also
available. These departments are manned by
well-qualified & experienced senior consultants &
offer meaningful support.

We are an institution committed to excellent training
of medical, paramedical nursing manpower. National
Board has recognised the hospital for specialist
training in Radiotherapy, Radio-diagnosis,

training for DMLT are all recognised by Govt., of

Cancer and Fibro-optic ENT Examination for early
detection of Oral Cavity and Voice Box Cancers etc.

City Center
The city center will treat
all types of diseases under one roof. All OPD’s
including Medicine, Surgery, Gynae & Obst., Orthopedics,
Eye, ENT, Chest & TB, Skin, Pediatrics, Dental, Family
Planning Clinic and Well Person Clinics will be run on
regular basis.
The centre will be open to the public from Morning till
Evening for giving quality treatment. Basic diagnostic
facilities like X-ray, Ultrasound Abdomen, ECG and all
routine Lab Investigations will be done at center.
The city center will also have a day care surgery
operation theatre. Those patients who will require
admission and specialized investigations will be
referred to Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Treatment & Research
Foundation and will be given 25% or more discount in
needy cases.
The Sr. Doctors from the ma main hospital will be
visiting the center for expert advise on regular basis.

Many new concepts have been added for patient care and
comfort like – waiting areas wards, have been provided
by TV, music facility and general ward A/C facilities.
So that the patient and their attendants can have
some soothing effect on their unexplained fear at a much

Efforts are on to develop the most economical best
treatment model to suit to our patients in the
