Health Awareness Camp Organized at Bharat Box Factory , Tajpur Road – Ludhiana

 

The Management of Bharat Box Factory along with the senior staff of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital organized a health awareness camp in the premises of the Bharat Box Factory in the village on Tajpur Road on 23.05.2007.

 

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Satish Jain – Medical Director of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital and was presided our by Managing Director Mr. Anil Aggarwal of Bharat Box Factory Ltd.  Dr. Satish Jain lauded the efforts management & its executive Mr. Anup Sharma – vice president & Mr. B.R. Pilley – Manager in organizing health awareness program in the factory workers & Dr. Jain also emphasized the importance of good health in the efficiency of the workers.

 

Dr. Pardeep Kapoor – (Head Of Department) Chest & TB, Dr.Suresh Goyal – Sr.Consultant in the same department at Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital spoke on ill effects of smoking, Tobacoo chewing & alchohal on health and causation of diseases in three sessions comprising 150 workers each.

 

The importance of stoppage of smoking, tobacco chewing & alcohal was stressed so as to avoid its effects like lung cancer, oral cancer and lever cancer respectively.

 

Besides cancer smoking is also responsible for  heart & chest diseases etc. After each session, the workers were also examined by team of post graduates of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital and students of School of Nursing of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital presented the effects of smoking, tobacco, alcohol & AIDS  by displaying the posters.

 

The next awareness program will be held on 1.06.2007 along with blood donation camp in the Bharat Box Factory premises.

Blood donation camp organized at State Bank of India – Focal point – Ludhiana

 

 

Rotary Club of Ludhiana  South End and Giant International Ludhiana along with team of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp at State Bank of India, focal point, Ludhiana on 25.05.2007.

 

The camp was inaugurated by the AGM of State Bank Ludhiana, Mr. Takkar. He himself voluntarily donated the blood. This was followed by the blood donation by the Branch Manager Mr.  Rajesh Gupta & Rotary club secretary & Giant International President Mr. Yash Pal Gosain .

 

Mr. Nanda who is active member of Giant International at the age of 57 donated blood for 121st time

 

Besides distinguished Rotarians Giant’s members & State Bank Branch members & distinguished citizens of the near by areas voluntarily donated blood. Total of 30 units were collected.

 

Dr. Satish Jain – Medical Director of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital, who is also president of the Rotary Club of Ludhiana Southend, & Giants International member appreciated the donors & state bank AGM & Branch Manager for their esteemed motivation for the novel venture .

 

Mr. Subhash Bajaj Charter President of the Rotary Club  of Ludhiana South End & Giants International Ludhiana stress upon the importance of Blood Donation & thanked Dr. R.P.Singh & his team from Oswal for participation in blood collection from the volunatary donors.
