A New Gamma Camera
On the occasion of 2nd Death Anniversary of Late. Sh. Vidya Sagar Oswal the founder president of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Treatment & Research Foundation, Ludhiana:
A New Gamma Camera with SPECT TECHNOLOGY has been installed in the Nuclear Medicine Department of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Treatment & Research Foundation by the management of the foundation.
Dr. Satish Jain , Medical director cum Chief of Surgery & Surgical oncology inaugurated the new machine. Dr. A.K. Goyal, Sr. Consultant Nuclear Medicine told that this Gamma Camera is having all the latest software & technology for Cardiac Studies, Bone Studies, Renal GHR studies, Thyroid scans, Hepatobiliary and Brain SPECT.
Radio iodine therapy for hyperthyroidism & well differentiated thyroid cancer is routinely done in Nuclear Medicine department.
P-32 & SR - 89 for Bone pain palliation is also done.
With installation of this New Gamma will certainly benefit the cancer patient.
